The Seville Book Fair is the city's booksellers' annual date with the public: open-air stalls, a 10% discount and a programme of launches, signings and children's activities. For years it was held in spring in Plaza Nueva; it now occupies the Jardines de Murillo, next to the Alcázar, and has moved to late October, when the heat finally relents.
It is a mid-sized fair: you can cover it in an afternoon, which makes it easy to go with a list or to attend a signing without getting lost.
