Start for freeThe Italian calendar turns on three very different events. The Turin International Book Fair, in May at the Lingotto, is the largest fair open to readers: five days of stands, talks and queues outside the halls. Più libri più liberi, in Rome in December, is the fair of small and medium publishers, held at the Nuvola in the EUR district.
The Bologna Children’s Book Fair is a different animal: it is the world rights fair for children’s publishing, open to trade visitors only. People go there to buy and sell rights and to see illustrators, not to buy books.
This page is updated whenever organisers publish new dates. If a fair shows as "dates not yet announced", it is because the date is not officially confirmed, not because it will not take place.
