FILEY has been organised by the Autonomous University of Yucatán since 2012 and in little over a decade has become the reference fair for the peninsula and the south-east. It is held at the Yucatán Siglo XXI convention centre, free of charge, with a guest of honour each year and the José Emilio Pacheco Prize for Excellence in Letters, which brings major names of Spanish-language literature to Mérida.
It is a very family- and school-oriented fair: weekday mornings are taken over by student groups; afternoons and weekends belong to the general public.
Log what you buy, your progress and the quotes you underline. Free, no account needed to start.
