The Festival du Livre de Paris replaced Livre Paris, and the change was not only the name: the fair left the halls at Porte de Versailles, tightened to three days and moved into the Grand Palais. The result is denser and far more pleasant to walk.
It is a general fair: every genre, every publisher, parallel stages of talks, and a programme mixing literary prizes, debates and signings. A country or a city is honoured each year.
